Upcoming CE EventsAs a benefit of membership, MSOTA sponsors several continuing education events throughout the given year. Members are able to register for these events for free or at discounted rates. Continue to visit our website for information regarding upcoming events. MSOTA also provides information about other conferences based on the requests of our members and/or associates. If you would like to advertise a continuing education event on our website, please send an email of your request to [email protected]. 2024 MSOTA NORTH DISTRICT MINI CONFERENCEThe MSOTA North District will host a 4-hour mini conference on November 01, 2024. This event will be held at Ittawamba Community College (1162 College View Drive in Tupelo, MS). This mini conference will offer 1 hour of ethics and 3 hours of general continuing education. Registration is open and free for all attendees. MSOTA members only will receive a 4-hour continuing education certificate immediately following the conference. On line pre-registration is required. The 1-hour ethics course will be taught by Al Cutterini. This course will focus on Elder Law and will define quality of life as it pertains to different individuals, education regarding Advanced Directives, and introduction to the "Dementia Values and Priorities Tool." The 3-hour course will be taught by Frank Maxey and hands on lab with Christopher Cockrell. It will focus on WC Seating and Mobility for pediatrics and adults with strategies to improve posture, balance, functional mobility, and ADL's. The lab will offer postural assessments and equipment adjustments for optimal positioning/safety. Click here to register online.
